the pressure of another human being

That is what I was talking about with Jason so many years ago: not feeling "the pressure of another human being." That is what is in those places where even the dryest academic paper sits up and grabs you. That's the flesh and blood humanity (or maybe even divinity) that I'm talking about. That's the sacrament, the apotheosis. It is what keeps you in your skin, your own flesh and blood.
